Sää Saharassa / Weather in Sahara

Moni on jo kysynyt ja varmasti kysyy jatkossakin, millainen sää Saharassa on lokakuussa 2026?

Aavikon sää on ennustettavampi kuin jäätikön.

Saharassa on syksyisin vielä aika kuuma sää.

Olen ollut siellä syyskaudella aiemmin kahdesti ja lämpöä on riittänyt.

On tietenkin mahdollista, että sadekuuro osuu kohdalle, joten siihenkin on varauduttava.

Lämpötilan suhteen viilein aika olisi alkuvuosi, mutta menen sinne mieluummin syksyllä, sillä olen tuolloin parhaassa kunnossa.

Katsoin jokin aika sitten mm. Merzougan säätietoja. Lämpötila keikkui 30-34 asteen välillä.

Yölämpötila näyttäisi olevan noin 15-20 C eli aika lämmintä…

Yleensä autiomaassa ilman suhteellinen kosteusprosentti on suhteellisen alhainen.

Tästäkin on poikkeuksia.

Juostessani Qatarin ympäri vuonna 2023, ilman kosteusprosentti oli arviolta 90%.

Oli sää mikä tahansa, niin meidän on pärjättävä kaikissa olosuhteissa.

Meidän on totuteltava kehomme ja mielemme erilaisiin olosuhteisiin jo täällä kotiolosuhteissa.

Many have already asked — and will surely keep asking — what the weather will be like in the Sahara in October 2026.

The desert’s weather is more predictable than that of the ice sheet.

In the Sahara, autumn weather is still quite hot.

I’ve been there twice during the autumn season before, and there’s been plenty of heat.

Of course, it’s possible that a rain shower might hit, so one should be prepared for that a

n terms of temperature, the coolest period would be early in the year, but I prefer to go there in autumn, since that’s when I’m in my best shape.

Some time ago, I checked the weather data for Merzouga, among other places. The temperature was fluctuating between 30 and 34 degrees.

At night, it seems to be around 15–20°C — so still quite warm…

Generally, in the desert, the relative humidity is fairly low.

There are, however, exceptions to this.

When I ran around Qatar in 2023, the air humidity was estimated at around 90%.

Whatever the weather, we must be able to cope under all conditions.

We must train our bodies and minds to adapt to different environments already here at home.
