Siperia / Siberia
Siperiasta ja tarkemmin sanottuna Lake Baikalilta kuului ikävä uutinen, jonka mukaan kiinalaisturisteja kuljettanut auto vajosi matkustajien mukana järven pohjaan.
Menneiden vuosien aikana on ollut muutama projekti, joiden tavoitteena on päästä vierailemaan Siperiassa, mutta aina ne ovat menneet mönkään.
Edellisen kerran Siperia oli palaverin aiheena noin vuosi ennen Venäjän Ukrainaan hyökkäystä.
On tietenkin ihan selvää, että sinne ei ole näissä olosuhteissa mitään asiaa.
Olisin kiinnostunut juoksemaan Lake Baikalin halki.
Se olisi noin 700 kilsan juoksu, joka täyttäisi kaikki suuren seikkailun määritelmät.
Ensiksi suunnittelin Siperiaan menoa seikkailukaverini Gregin kanssa.
Sen jälkeen vuoroon astui projekti, jota kävin työstämässä aina Pohjois-Norjassa asti.
Ulkoministeriökin oli siinä semi-löyhästi mukana, mutta se hanke meni kuivui kokoon.

Sad news came from Siberia, and more specifically from Lake Baikal: a vehicle carrying Chinese tourists sank to the bottom of the lake with the passengers inside.
Over the past years, there have been a few projects aimed at visiting Siberia, but they have always fallen through.
The last time Siberia was discussed in a meeting was about a year before Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
It is, of course, perfectly clear that under the current circumstances, there is no business going there.
I would be interested in running across Lake Baikal.
It would be roughly a 700-kilometer run, fulfilling every definition of a great adventure.
At first, I planned to go to Siberia with my adventure companion Greg.
After that, the project evolved, and I even worked on it as far north as northern Norway.
The Ministry for Foreign Affairs was also loosely involved, but that project eventually dried up.
