{"id":22505,"date":"2026-02-23T05:25:48","date_gmt":"2026-02-23T05:25:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportman.fi\/?p=22505"},"modified":"2026-02-23T05:25:50","modified_gmt":"2026-02-23T05:25:50","slug":"siperia-siberia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sportman.fi\/index.php\/2026\/02\/23\/siperia-siberia\/","title":{"rendered":"Siperia \/ Siberia"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Siperiasta ja tarkemmin sanottuna Lake Baikalilta kuului ik\u00e4v\u00e4 uutinen, jonka mukaan kiinalaisturisteja kuljettanut auto vajosi matkustajien mukana j\u00e4rven pohjaan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Menneiden vuosien aikana on ollut muutama projekti, joiden tavoitteena on p\u00e4\u00e4st\u00e4 vierailemaan Siperiassa, mutta aina ne ovat menneet m\u00f6nk\u00e4\u00e4n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Edellisen kerran Siperia oli palaverin aiheena noin vuosi ennen Ven\u00e4j\u00e4n Ukrainaan hy\u00f6kk\u00e4yst\u00e4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On tietenkin ihan selv\u00e4\u00e4, ett\u00e4 sinne ei ole n\u00e4iss\u00e4 olosuhteissa mit\u00e4\u00e4n asiaa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Olisin kiinnostunut juoksemaan Lake Baikalin halki.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Se olisi noin 700 kilsan juoksu, joka t\u00e4ytt\u00e4isi kaikki <strong>suuren seikkailun<\/strong> m\u00e4\u00e4ritelm\u00e4t.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ensiksi suunnittelin Siperiaan menoa seikkailukaverini Gregin kanssa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sen j\u00e4lkeen vuoroon astui projekti, jota k\u00e4vin ty\u00f6st\u00e4m\u00e4ss\u00e4 aina Pohjois-Norjassa asti. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ulkoministeri\u00f6kin oli siin\u00e4 semi-l\u00f6yh\u00e4sti mukana, mutta se hanke meni kuivui kokoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No, ainakin toistaiseksi voin vain unelmoida Siperiasta katsomalla oheista filmi\u00e4.<a href=\"https:\/\/explorersweb.com\/weekend-warm-up-alone-180-days-on-lake-baikal\/\">https:\/\/explorersweb.com\/weekend-warm-up-alone-180-days-on-lake-baikal\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>*************************************************************************<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sad news came from Siberia, and more specifically from Lake Baikal: a vehicle carrying Chinese tourists sank to the bottom of the lake with the passengers inside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over the past years, there have been a few projects aimed at visiting Siberia, but they have always fallen through.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The last time Siberia was discussed in a meeting was about a year before Russia\u2019s invasion of Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is, of course, perfectly clear that under the current circumstances, there is no business going there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I would be interested in running across Lake Baikal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It would be roughly a 700-kilometer run, fulfilling every definition of a great adventure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At first, I planned to go to Siberia with my adventure companion Greg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After that, the project evolved, and I even worked on it as far north as northern Norway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ministry for Foreign Affairs was also loosely involved, but that project eventually dried up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Well, at least for now, I can only dream about Siberia by watching the accompanying film <a href=\"https:\/\/explorersweb.com\/weekend-warm-up-alone-180-days-on-lake-baikal\/\">https:\/\/explorersweb.com\/weekend-warm-up-alone-180-days-on-lake-baikal\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Siperiasta ja tarkemmin sanottuna Lake Baikalilta kuului ik\u00e4v\u00e4 uutinen, jonka mukaan kiinalaisturisteja kuljettanut auto vajosi matkustajien mukana j\u00e4rven pohjaan.
