Olen nimitt\u00e4in j\u00e4lleen l\u00e4hd\u00f6ss\u00e4 Islantiin valmistelemaan ensi vuoden j\u00e4\u00e4tikk\u00f6seikkailua.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Olen kantanut jo usean vuoden ajan “Running for the Arctic” -soihtua ja niin teen jatkossakin, mutta nyt alkaa uusi, v\u00e4h\u00e4n samanlainen projekti.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Running for the Glaciers” -hanke keskittyy nimenomaan Islantiin ja siell\u00e4 oleviin j\u00e4\u00e4tik\u00f6ihin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mik\u00e4li apuni kelpaa, niin tarjoan sit\u00e4 jatkossakin mm. Ilmatieteen Laitokselle sek\u00e4 my\u00f6s muille tutkimuslaitoksille tai vastaavanlaisille tahoille, jotka tekev\u00e4t arvokasta ty\u00f6t\u00e4 ilmastotutkimuksen saralla.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kerron hankkeesta lis\u00e4\u00e4 tulevien kuukausien aikana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve turned into quite an Iceland fan!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In fact, I\u2019m once again heading to Iceland to prepare for next year\u2019s glacier adventure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve been carrying the \u201cRunning for the Arctic\u201d torch for several years now and will continue to do so, but now a new, somewhat similar project is beginning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u201cRunning for the Glaciers\u201d initiative focuses specifically on Iceland and its glaciers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If my help is useful, I will continue to offer it, among others, to the Finnish Meteorological Institute as well as to other research institutions or similar organizations that do valuable work in the field of climate research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ll share more about the project in the coming months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
