<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That\u2019s a hell of a lot, considering that we have \u201conly\u201d about 5.5 million people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A great deal has been written about the health effects of sauna bathing, as well as about exposure to cold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Especially in Finnish population studies, regular sauna use has been found to be associated with a lower risk of cardiovascular diseases and lower blood pressure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The effects partly resemble those of fairly light physical exercise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Heat relaxes muscles, relieves tension, and lowers stress levels, while also producing feel-good hormones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">(endorphins).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The benefits of sauna have been observed elsewhere as well.<br><a href=\"https:\/\/saunafromfinland.com\/news\/booming-us-sauna-market-trends\/\">https:\/\/saunafromfinland.com\/news\/booming-us-sauna-market-trends\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Perhaps the most interesting place where I\u2019ve ever taken a sauna is Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I visited the country countless times between 2014 and 2021 and often stayed in a hotel next to the Riyadh diplomatic quarter, which had a Finnish sauna heater.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I always got to sauna there alone \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I asked an AI about the health benefits of cold exposure and received the following kind of answer:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The evidence is more variable and partly weaker than for sauna bathing, but promising.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Associations have been observed with improved insulin sensitivity, reduced inflammatory response, and elevated mood and alertness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In winter, in connection with sauna bathing, I take snow baths, that is, I rub snow on my face and arms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It feels really good!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Suomessa on 3,2-3,3 miljoonaa saunaa!
