In the book, he describes\u2014among many other things\u2014his own life philosophy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He wrote about standing at a crossroads in his life, where two different paths lay ahead of him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He named one of them the \u201cwhite road\u201d<\/strong> and the other the \u201cred road.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n One of these paths was predictable and paved, which meant it would be easy to follow. Erickson is a former competitive cyclist, and\u2014to make a long story short\u2014he eventually decided to develop his own energy bar because (in his opinion) the other bars tasted like they came from \u201ca place where the sun doesn\u2019t shine.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Anyway, he chose the path filled with surprises. It was the one no one had mapped before, and taking it meant embarking on a great adventure full of the unexpected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Years ago, I faced a similar choice in my own life, and I believe I made the smart decision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n That moment inspired me to write a chapter about living a rich life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n My thinking was further fueled by American author Brendon Burchard, who in his book The Charged Life<\/em> describes three different ways of living: the caged life<\/strong>, the comfortable life<\/strong>, and the charged (rich) life<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n According to Burchard, people living in a (mental) cage are stuck in old patterns. They spend their days in a small box, never breaking out of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n People in the cage live for others and according to the rules others set for them. A \u201ccaged person\u201d seeks approval from others by fulfilling their wishes\u2014never their own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Many people live what could be called a comfortable<\/em> life. On the outside, things look fine, but once you scratch the surface, the truth reveals itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When asked, \u201cAre you happy or satisfied?\u201d the answer often sounds like: \u201cLife is okay on the outside, but is this really the life I want to live?\u201d<\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n I\u2019ve met so many people who say they want to change their lives, yet they never manage to take that first step toward what I call the rich life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In my book, I included a \u201cRich Life Table,\u201d<\/strong> which says, among other things, that a rich life consists of:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Honesty with yourself and others; plenty of opportunities; hunger to experiment and stretch your potential; high energy; a curious and spontaneous approach to the world; a \u201cbig visions made real\u201d mindset; an optimistic attitude toward the future; and last but not least, a constant pursuit of new challenges.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Go for it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n “Rich life” in Greenland 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Kirjoitin Asennetta peliin-kirjaan luvun jonka nimi on \u201cRikas el\u00e4m\u00e4\u201d.
